3/5/2012        “WE HAVE BEEN BLESSED”

My week….

First my new comp???…. Well, I am having problems with him (fancy-pants)….He doesn’t know how to do anything except complain. He didn’t even know how to make a sandwich or he can’t wear the same white shirt twice. He throws his money around like lodo (mud). People here get mad about that, because people around here work real hard for their money…You don’t show it off your money, you be cautious. You and Dad taught me the value of a dollar and what it means to spend your money and how.  Things that I think I want, I don’t need, and that has helped me a ton in the mission. Sometimes he can be good but, wooooow prideful! I thought I was prideful… So, it makes me see what I don’t want to be. I have 6 weeks with him… I am going to learn a lot.

I feel like I am growing up and learning to be more patient and humble.  I don’t look at the things the way I used to. I have changed how I think. But, there is still a ton to change to be better at.  I just have to keep working hard and doing what’s right. No worries. We are working hard and we received blessings this week because, we found a ton of new people and had a lot of progreso (progress) this week with the investigadores.(investigators.)   We had a ton of lecciones.(lessons) and also we had some with miembros (members). We found a lot more people that want to hear us, and then we had a ton of people who we had never seen before come to church. So we are going to teach them this week so it’s been a huge blessing. Well, what I have learned this week is that I have grown up. But, also that I have a ton of work ahead of me. I don’t ever want to say, “well yea, I have done everything I can do and I can’t do anything more.” It’s a lie and in Dads words, “It’s a HUGE EXCUSE,” and so, we can’t ever say we have done enough…. We can always try to be better and to do a little more than we think we can do. I have thought a lot about how I am going to be different when I get back and I am so happy I chose to go on a mission. I would have been the same Chad that didn’t know what he wanted, but I am a man of god that knows exactly what he wants. It’s amazing to have that change in me.

I am excited to see you all again and to be the same goofy me but, to be a man and to know what I want and what I stand for. I love you all and I thank you for all the things you all have taught me. I am a very, very, blessed person in this life and I am very grateful for everything you all have done.

GUESS WHAT WE HAD???  2 bautismos(baptism’s)!!! What special days!!!

The husband is a member, but his wife had never wanted to get bautizada(baptized), but now, she did with their kids. What is so great, they are planning to get sealed in one year. :)

The husband was able to baptize his esposa(wife) and his kids. It was perfect!

Here is a picture of the Family.

And a picture of a Mexican Sunset.

The gas station picture or gasolinera es ox xo well ,It’s like the Conoco at home but, this one is oxox in Mexico.

“Go forward in life with a twinkle in your eye and a smile on your face but, with great and strong purpose in your heart.”

I love this saying it's from Pres. Hinckley. It is soooo true. We can be the most simplest of people and we can look normal but, if we do the things that are different, and we know our purpose, we can do great things in this life.

I love you all and hope you have a great week. I will talk to you next week.

Tu hijo y hermano
