2/20/2012 “ I AM GREAT!”

I am great! We had a very good week but my companion is really, really, really sick. He has an ear infection. He is bleeding inside his ear. I take care of him. I am the only person he has. Read below what happened to my companion…

Here are the pictures I told you about. One of the pictures is of a castle, and another one is of the mountains that looks like somebody is laying down you will have to look for it its called el cerro de la muerte. “The hill of the dead”..Another one is of the famous bull ring and the centro .I hope you like the pictures. There’s a lot of stuff to do here work wise…. But, I’ll let you see the pictures, and then I’ll tell you a little more about my week. Just a quick note though momma, I have a junta en about 30 minutes. So, later I will write you a big letter… The mountain looks like somebody lying down. It’s called el cerro de la muerte. Yea it was pretty cold this week. Ha ha. Mexico is pretty darn good but, it’s the best time I have had in my life. I am learning how to a better Chad, not a different person. Like how to cut the bad things out and how to be an overall better Chad. But how have you been? I am working hard and trying to learn everything that I can possible.

Ok momma, Well I think it’s time to write the big letter. So, here it goes….

This week we didn’t have any bautismos(baptisms) but, we put 4 fechas (dates)with people. That helps us out a ton. We will have 2 bautismos(baptisms) this week and two more the next week so we are having more progress right now. But, this week was kind of weird. I saw people that I don’t ever want to see again. It makes me mad and sad all at the same time.I saw these people that have rejected Cristo en their lives and are borrachos (were drunk.) They don’t want anything else other than rejecting Cristo and staying are borrachos( drunk). They don’t want to change; they don’t want to be better. But, it’s all good they will have to answer the question. Why?

Tomorrow we have a junta with Presidente so, I will be learning a lot more stuff too. There are changes this up coming week. I know I am staying but, my compañero I think he is going. We got home Saturday and I went to sleep and my companion wakes me up one hour later and tells me he has a ton of pain in his ear and that he wanted to cry because it hurt so bad but,he didn’t cry because he didn’t want to wake me up. So, I went to work and called the Obispo(bishop) to come get us and then called President(who was sleeping) to tell him that we were going to the hospital. We head over there like at 12 at night. And we get all settled in there at the hospital. Then, I saw the worst things I have ever seen in my life. I saw somebody that was beaten badly. His face was all broken up and bloody and then I saw a guy stabbed and gushing blood, and then I saw a lady that got ran over....what a happy night in the emergency room...NOT! But, after all of that we got back at like 3:00 am to our house and then we went to sleep and then at 10 am, we went to church dead tired. But, we had a miracle… we had 3 nuevos (new) people in church. We had 3 nuevos and 2 of them want to get baptized...can you say blessings?

Know that I am fine. It’s been a wonderful one year and I can’t wait to make the next one better. I have learned so much about myself and what I can do. I love the mish. It teaches you so much about your Savior and the power that a person has if only the person believes. I love you all and I will continue to pray for you all. Keep having fe(faith) and everything will happen that should happen.
