9/17/2012      “Change of plans”…

Hey mama,

Elder Anderson: If you want to stay home its fine. I will just have to talk to the offices and change the plans. But it’s not that big of a deal. I think it will be best no? That is kind of a bit too much money for the little of time we would spend in Mexico plus it is becoming not safe. I will leave the 3rd of January and I will see you at the airport. Does that work better?
MOM:  awwwh, I don’t want you upset. Are you upset?
Elder Anderson:   Ha ha no mama, not at all… I am just ready to see you all.
Mom:  Then at the airport we will see you….Ok?
Elder Anderson:  PERFECTO:) I’ll let the offices know so, they can book me in for the 3rd of January and I will keep you notified.
MOM:  Ok, we will see you at the airport…
Elder Anderson:  yeppers
J Ha ha but, bad news I don’t have a ton of time right now to write. We have a huge meeting tomorrow and so President will bring all the stuff and I will get to talk to him about the change of plans.
MOM: Ok then we will postpone Christmas for a couple of days.  We will celebrate Christmas and your Birthday…..YAY!!!
Elder Anderson: Okie Dokie. Thanks for everything momJ.    We have to go food shop now but, I will send you some pictures. The pictures are of a service project we had a while back. . I am sorry today has been crazy!!!
I love you and hope you have a great week.

9/10/2012    “Baptisms like Daisies”…

Hola,
I will answer your questions because, it doesn’t look like the internet is working very well.  Our area is fine no worries there. We had a big meeting as “leaders in the mission. Here is the picture we had taken. Know that we are all safe and still working here. So, don’t worry Momma.

I think I will be sending some things home in like two meses(months). I think that will give me time to get everything ready and be able to leave without so much stuff. But Momma, my clothes and everything are ship shape. I have everything I need no worries there. This week we had a baptism. We are having them "like DAISIES" ha ha… It’s a lot of work and a lot of blessings. This week we had el bautismo(a baptism) The one I told you we were having Saturday. Well we had it. It was a husband of a lady who has only been a member for 3 months in the church. This guy is sooo cool! Here is a picture…

I told you about our capilla(church building) that it was getting remodeled. I got to see it and it is so awesome.
We are great, still working hard and trying to be better. There are so many things that I find that I can be better at. Something’s are a little harder than the other ones but, I still have to keep working hard in everything I do. My situation with my comp is a lot better. Everything is going a lot smoother but, I have two more weeks with him and then he is out because, he has had a ton of time here in this one area. He has the same time as me in the mission field, but he will have the next transfer. We have been working really hard.
I am sorry about the internet problems. It can be a pain when it runs sooooo slow. I love you mom. Thanks for everything and for always helping me with a ton of things. I have learned so much in the mission. I do still have things I need to change, and I am working on those but, I have the hope and fe(faith) that with My Padre Celestial (father in Heaven)anything is possible.  I have to head out, so much to do. It stinks that we had problems with the internet. But I love you momma.  J Have a great day and an upcoming week. Know that you help me so much even not being right here with me.  I am so grateful that you are my mom.  J I love you have a great week

9/3/12     “Service…. It was awesome to be a part of”

That’s AWESOME about Bruce Petersen!!! I am glad he is going on a mission. He’s going to love it!
 How’s the family momma?
Yes Momma, we do travel a lot. This week we have to go to Leon for a meeting. But it will all be good. I am great, kind of tired today, but great. How’s Connor?  I was worried about the problem with him breathing during the football game.
I will be at the mission home tomorrow night and Wednesday so, I will see if Dads letter made it here yet.
Well the fotos never got here so, I will just write you a big letter. I am going to buy another memory stick so; I don’t have to worry about this problem. But this week was pretty good. We put another fecha(meeting) with another person so, we will be having another bautismo (baptism) this Saturday. It’s going to be awesome. I am excited to see it. Also our capilla(church building) has been under remodeling and it just got done. We will be headed over there this week. I heard it’s huge!!!I am excited to see it all done. It will be cool.  This week my comp and I talked… but, like dad says problems don’t get fixed in one day. He went back to his old ways in like 2 days. Kind of sad but it’s all good. I am just ignoring his stupid things he does. I have learned when someone doesn’t want to work and just wants to lay around and not do what we came here for the other comp who is working really hard gets blessed for putting up with it. So, blessings are coming my way! Ha ha. But honestly it’s all good. Also this week we went and did a service proyecto!! (Project) I will have pictures of that as well. We worked really hard. Way hard… We had to move a TON of stones and dirt and rocks. It was awesome.  I woke up and was kind of sore...but, it was way worth it. I loved the feeling to help a family. The next day we had a huge actividad de la estaca (activity with the stake.)We got to meet the member of the 70 of our area and he took us home. That was kind of cool.   The family that we helped, well they keep bragging about us helping them.  It was awesome to be part of that. They are the sweetest family…
But, I will have more to write about next week because; we should be getting a ton of info when we go to Leon. But, tell everyone hi and that I can’t wait to see them either. It’s going to be a freaking pachanga!!!! (party, I think?)ha ha…
I love you all have a great week and I for sure will have the pictures.
 I love you

8/27/12    “Still Working Hard

Yay! Were on at the same time….

Mom says: It is amazing how fast time flies…

Elder Anderson says: I know I heard I have a little over 5 months

Mom says:  umm, you have only 4 months on the 3rd of Sept just ask your mother. Haha I do miss ya, you know.....

I can’t wait. Anyways enough of that!!!!

Elder Anderson says: woooooooooooooooooooooooow Seriously????? That’s crazy!!

Well, we had a bautismo(baptism). But, the memeoria( Memory) of my camera filled up so, I don’t have the pictures. My comp is going to pass them on to me. It was awesome momma.

 Momma

This week was pretty hard and awesome at the same time. We had a bautismo (baptism)that was awesome. I enjoyed it a lot. She was always very closed up and never liked expressing herself. But, everyone cried. Everyone felt the spirit. That was an amazing moment.

This week we went to Leon to listen to Elder Bejamin de Hoyos. He talked a lot about the Expiacion(atonement). He linked everything to it and it helped me see that I have to apply the Expiacion mor ein(atonement more in) my life so, that I can understand what He did for me. He is amazing. He knows me in and out and wants me to be happy. Even when I have problems He is always there to pick me up because, he understands me. He was tempted in every form, beating, spit at, and He never said anything. It makes me think that I need to be a little bit more humble and change the little things to be better.  I am still working hard and helping others come to Cristo. He is my life and I am in his service. I need to have strength; I can’t let Satan guide my heart when my comp and I don’t get along. I must have control to be able to be the person of tomorrow. We don’t get that much time here so we need to make the most of it. Well, I hope that I will have the pictures of the bautismo(baptism) so I can pass it to you. I love you and thank you for helping me so much. I need to change and be better. I have gotten here, from diligence but, I have to have more and be better. Like Nefi(Nephi) says in spanish.

Thats what I have to do so I can have that gift of eternal life. I love you all and hope you have the best week:)

      “Frustrated with computers"……

Elder Anderson:    Did you forget to write me??

Elder Anderson:    Mom, Did you forget to write me or???

Elder Anderson:    Well mom, I hope everything is ok. I love you.

Me, Mom:              Hey I did write. Did you not get it? I will re-send it.

Elder Anderson:     I just got it…YAY!!!!

Dear Family,

No, I wouldn’t give up. You know me I can’t just give up and stop working, thinking that I have done everything.

We just had 4 bautismos. And we have another one this week coming up. We have been working really hard right now. I can’t give up. It doesn’t even make sense to me how people can die(quite) on the mish with so many things to do. You can’t stop thinking about the people and what they need and what you need to do to help them see how they can be truly happy. But, I wish this compu had the spot it needs so I could send these pics....ugh!

The familia is soooo cool. They just did everything we asked them and then they gained the desire to get baptized. It was an awesome bautismo. I will for sure try to send these pics of the familia and their baptism today, if not I will send you them next week. It has been kind of rough today, because we had changes so, we had to go to the central part of Mexico and welcome everybody in and things like that. I didn’t get changed and neither did my comp. My comp has been good up till now.  We are working hard and we will see how these next 6 weeks go.

The powder drink I told you about is still helping me gain weight. I am trying to gain a little more weight but, I don’t believe it’s really going to happen until I get back home from the mish. We walk and walk and walk. And even when we don’t walk a ton I feel skinny. But, I do feel strong. I feel strong spiritually, I feel strong mentally and I feel strong physically. I am never ever going to give up. I love what I do and when we have results like we have had… there isn’t a better feeling in the world.
Honestly!!!!! I want to send you pictures but, this freaking computer is jacked up and doesn’t have a place to put my memory stick it really makes me Frustrated!!!!

I love you all and I am sorry about the pictures today. I will try to send them for sure next week. I love you all. I hope you have a great week :)
