12/12/11…      Stressed out and learned a lot…

Dear Family

This week has been a very stressed out week and I don’t know why. I think the Señor was really testing me on what I was going to do. It was like my Spanish all left my mind. I had a ton of problems and I did not know why. I am trying to see what I can do more and what the Lord wants me to do. It was like I was having a ton of stress with me speaking the Spanish language and I think he (the Savior) wanted me to worry about other things before I was worried about myself and the language. I am still searching to see what I can do more to help him in his work. But ,we had a bautismo(baptism) and we are going to have 2 more next week! I am pumped for that !
One of the bautismo(baptism) is a daughter of a person we had already baptized. And her daughter got bautizada(baptized)(that is one of the pictures.) Next week it will be her son hopefully. But she is a nice lady and is coming along well. I had the privilege to baptize her and we got to join in on the cofirmacion(confirmation). It really was great. Also, we are working with this one persona and she is really coming along. She has problems con alcohol. But she has not taking a drink of alcohol for 2 weeks!! It’s great to see the desire of people, when they know something is right and true and that it can bless their lives. But right now Momma that’s about all we have. After writing letters to our family we will be visiting more people and teaching them why we have so many blessings and the blessings of prayer.  I will explain the pics.
I have the one from our bautismo(baptism).I have one that is especially for you Momma and the others one is  when Elder Farias (he’s in the middle) left to go to his home. I bought my suit so, I hope you like it. haha But, the work is coming along. There are things that I still haven’t learned here and things that I am learning. I am learning that humildad(humility) is something sooooo importante(important) I need to learn to be more humble in everything I do. There are so many things to learned and to improve but, I am so ready to do it. The Lord has given me so much to be thankful for and to learn. I love the mish and wouldn’t trade anything for it. I am excited to talk to you all in two weeks for Christmas. I will give you a call this week on the 17th. About the Earthquake Momma,  know that I am safe. Momma do not worry… We did not even feel the Earthquake. I am doing well and I am learning and growing up to be the man that Dios wants me to become. I love this work and the things I do to bless the lives of others. I love you all. Have a great week and You’ll hear from me soon.

12/5/11 “Oh The Holiday Season”…

Dear Family…

Well today I sent a package to your house!!!  There were cambios (meetings) so we didn’t have a ton of things to do. It was waiting for misioneros (missionaries) saying goodbye to others. We came back took a nap, cleaned the house and then went shopping for food….We have a ton!  Then we ate and now we are writing the fams.  What about you? I will write a note on how I feel about Christmas and how the week went.

Ok well for the Christmas season I have learned a ton. From the devotionals to the work I know what is important. The Christmas season isn’t about the presents or even the family with a big Christmas tree it’s about a person and that’s our Savior Jesus Cristo. He is our guide. He suffered for us so that we could have a life here. So, we could choose right and wrong. I love him and I am grateful to be in his service. This week was not the best for us. We couldn’t find anyone. No one was in their homes. We had planned a bunch of citas(appointments) and a ton of lecciones (lessons) but still we couldn’t find anybody. But, we are still working very hard to find people and to keep ourselves motivado (motivated). I think it just comes with the work. You can’t have everything fall into place perfectly. That’s not how we learn. We learn from hard times, easy time, things that go right things that fail. So, I am not too worried about it. But it’s weird being in Mexico with Christmas here. I am excited to talk to everyone. It’s kind of weird how the time is really flying fast. I am trying to soak it all up. Ha ha About my head injury. How did I hurt it…. Well, I hate even tell the story but, I was walking with other missionaries and we were talking and then down the street there came this truck of  circo (circus) people with a big tiger in the back and we were looking at it and then all of a sudden there was a little girl hanging out of the truck window and her mom was putting her out the window with a face that I can’t even describe, it was so freaking funny.  We were laughing  so hard and staring and BOOOOM I hit a concreto(concrete) pole sticking out...haha so, Dios (God) taught me in that moment that I shouldn’t make fun of anybody...haha But, my head is all good. I am healing…

I am opening up the Christmas gifts one at a time (daily) so don’t worry I am following the rules that you wrote.  Thanks momma. I love you so much and thank you for everything you do. I have to head out right now but, I will talk to you next week. I love you

I am a missionero(missionary) so, I have to head out and get back to doing his work. I love you momma. Have a great week

11/28/11
Great week but, with my first injury...

Wow!!!! We had a great week!!!!except.................................
I cut my eye brow open. I got pics of that. I just butterflied it together with band aids. You taught me well. no worries I am good.
I don't want to tell that story...I ran into a pole... hahahaha
It bled a lot.  It didn't stain anything. But, I really am good. Please don't worry.

Miguel got baptized, We are working with the son of Lucy and also her daughter has a fecha. So its coming along.

I have a ton of pics for you. These are the pics of my bautismos. We had 3. Miguel, Lucy, and Manuel. Manuel didn't want to get baptized. It was really hard. But we left him a part in El libero de Mormon and he prayed and we came back the next day and he was like... I got my answer, I want to get baptized today at 7: 30... So I left and called a bunch of people to get it all ready and boom se bautizo! ha ha

3 bautismos. Yea, my companion is really awesome. We had a party on the roof with pan cakes. It was so much fun. We had one of the best weeks yet we have been really working hard. It was kinda hard though because I know that My Padre Celestial is testing me a bit.  I know if I get passed these trails I will move on to be a better person. , I cant really describe my mission in words I could just say LOVE.. I feel the love of mi Padre Celestial for mi and what I'm doing and you learn to love people for who they are. That's what I have learned. I love the people I teach.  They all know of the gospel but only they need to be reminded. My Spanish is kinda slow, and I think my Heavenly Father is making mi realize that its not me that's talking its him. So, I am going to pray alot to see what I can do for him.

fell asleep reading my scriptures
Thanks momma. I love you and thank you for all the help I get form you. You truly have taught me a ton and I am doing the Lords work right now using what you and dad taught me. I love you so much for that...

We had a party on the roof with pan cakes. hahaha. We had one of the best weeks yet! My comp is awesome.
Also mi y mi compañero tuvimos una fiesta...en el techo...also its a pic of my district.

(My District)
I hope you enjoyed all of the pictures.  I have to head out momma.  I love you mom. Know that I am fine and that I am working hard.  I hope and pray that everything is great there and that you all have a wonderful week. I love you

I am great momma. I have salud I feel great. we have 5 bautismos for this week so we are living it up. I had a week of good things and bad things. One day was horrible we had a very espiritual meeting with the President and then after that we couldnt find anyone. We got locked out of the house so I have some pics of us climbing up the house and then we had to get down to go talk with the dueño...it was rough. haha but its life.
I know its rough but the blessing are real. I will be sure to take a lot of pictures for you momma. Here are some pictures. But, first how about I give you alittle bit of information about some of them.
One is miguel. He is soooo cool we saw him 3 times in the same day and we finally talked to him and he knows the church is true and wants to get baptized. He told us that he has always felt something when he passed the capilla. He is awesome. And then Lucy is the lady that had problems with spritis. We blessed the house and  we always have a member with us. But, she has progessed alot and her hija wants to get baptized tooooo! So They are awesome as well. I dont have a date to when I come home. I will know in about 6 months.
My casa is orange. Youll see the casa in some of the pics. I am climbing over to the other side of the casa to open it up. Its crazy how misioneros have angels with them. I love you momma. Thank you for everything.

Another picture is of the ton of libros de Mormon...
I got Christmas gifts for all the guys.  I bought Connor something really cool.  I am looking for different things for the girls.  But its ok mom dont worry I got everything handled.

 I love you....

"A rough week"

Oh Momma you make me laugh!!!
You ask me the same question every week and I keep telling you the same answer... Yes, they feed the elders here. You do not have to worry...
Momma here is the quick note of the "Things I am Thankful for". So, do not forget to put up my feather on Tommy The Turkey for Thanksgiving...

I am thankful for my family and everything they do for me. I am thankful for Dios and the things he gives me everyday to succed. I am thankful for the people I have met and how they have changed my life for the better.

Life is good. But we kinda had a hard week. My comp is great with little time left.  He has helped me out alot. He is funny and that helps us to have a better time when all our citas fall. It kinda sucks but its how the life goes. The house is better we have doors and we actually are taking showers with hot water now. thats a big plus it was aweful!!!! but the bathroom stinks soooo bad we might have to deeeeep clean it to see whats up with it. It doent have very good ventialtion so its a little hard to get the stink out. But rather than that it has been good. We had 4 people in the capilla this week so it is coming around. But the work still  gets dificil at times but I know if you put your fe in something you have to really push until you cant push anymore and when you cant push anymore the salvador is there and is going to help you out in any situacion. The work is hard. Never has been easy. But, I know if I keep working the Senor with be there for us. How are you buddy? tell mom thats all the new info I have. haha
Have a great week and I will talk you next week.......
Be safe and I love you all,

Playing Santa and working hard.

Hey Momma,

How have you been? I am glad you are liking your job. So, you think I will love the new back splash in the kitchen huh?
I read your letter about the earthquakes. That is freaking crazy.
I am going to be calling home on the 24th really quick to set up a time to call on Christmas. I am sending a package home for Christmas but, I need to know what you guys want for Christmas? Along with that package I will send home my broken camera with the chip still in it. Any ideas?
I already am planning on buying Connor a soccer jersey.

To answer your question Momma, yes I am still DL so its double work and we study for 4 hours so we dont leave hasta a las 12 so its kinda hard but it has been awesome. I feel that my comp is the one teaching me so yes we are really alike and we work awesome together.   I dont have pics so give me until la proxima semana ok?
This week has been  interesting. We have had a ton of success and  have had a ton of problemas. We have 5 bautismos for this month but 3 of them have problems. One investigator is a lady that wants to get baptized but her esposo is abusivo so its kinda hard right now. So, we are going to talk to pres to see what we can do. Also another investigator is a lady with her hija but she played with brujeria(witchcraft) so, her house is possessed....yea I know. It doesn't feel good to be in a house like that so, we are working hard to figure out what we are going to do. But I have been good no worries Momma. There is just a lot of work we have to do and it seems like the time is just flying faster and faster. It has been an awesome week, but other than that I have just been enjoying my comp. He wants to work and learn so, its been the best time I have had on the mish.  I don't have a ton of highlights for the week. Solamente that we were walking on day and there was someone that we had seen 3 times through the day...So, we just started talking to him and now has a fecha and he wants everything to do with the church.   I know that our Heavenly Father puts people in front of us to find and that we need to be looking for those oppurtunidades. Well ,that's all the informacion I have for today. Sorry no pictures today. I hope you have a great week and I will talk to you all later.
I love you all and stay safe.

Hey momma. Thank you for sending me those packages and I will be looking out for them. Well my comp right now he is from veracruz. His name is elder parroquin. He is the best comp I have ever had in the mish. He helps me, He is humble and he wants to work. I have had a great week with him so, I think we will be having a lot of exito. But I loved the package that you sent awhile ago. I got a lot of things I missed. All  those cards were great they helped me out. But I will be looking for the packages and the letter from dad. Also I heard about connor I am glad he took the oppurtunidad when he had the chance. I am greateful he is doing great.  I am glad that dad and that everyone is recieving blessings. I know that spud maybe doesn't see it yet but he will wake up one day and say to himself why am I here?  It will hit him in the head big time.  We had the bautismo. I am sending you two fotos of it and how it went was this. we found this kid in our carpeta and we were like he is not a member. So we started teaching him becuase his family is inactive so we were helping his family. But after his bautismo I was in the baño changing and his dad came in crying and said thank you thank you thank you. You have saved our lives. It was one of the most spritual experiencias I have had in my life. But it was an amzing day momma. I love the work and I love that I have the chance to share it. But I have to go change and get ready for the lesson. I hope all is well and that you enjoy the fotos. I love you all
